HVAC Service Provider was experiencing increasing costs for materials and labor. To maintain profitability of installs and services, an analysis of fair profit margins and prices was needed. Margin calculation tools would also reduce variability between estimators when quoting similar jobs.
Our team conducted market research on 10 installations to assess market pricing. We aligned market pricing with company owner's profitability expectations and customer willingness-to-pay. We developed Gross Margin Calculator based on material costs for 15 common models and job-specific modifications.
