Partnership of three regional paramedical services seeking better labour utilization to match needs of population. Community Paramedicine had been suggested by regional health groups as an option to benefit other health providers.
Our team assessed current call volume, acuity levels and prevention strategies for each type. We calculated current capacity for paramedical teams and time requirements to deliver additional, non-urgent services such as fall prevention assessments, public education and connection to other community resources.
